The Folio: History Atlas is built as a local-first web app. There are no accounts. Your bookmarks, reading history, quiz scores, and theme preference are stored in this browser's local storage and never leave your device.

The site itself includes no analytics SDK, ad SDK, or tracking pixel. Anyone with access to this browser profile can see the locally stored reading data, so use your device lock on shared computers.

Payments

If you purchase a Premium plan, the checkout is provided by RevenueCat and its payment processor Stripe. They handle your email address and payment details under their own privacy policies; this site never sees your card number. A random, anonymous purchase id is stored in this browser so the site can recognise your Premium access - it identifies a purchase, not a person. You can view this id on the Premium page and move it to another browser via Restore access.
